New York State USBC is Accepting Entries for All State Tournaments

Brewster, NY – it’s that time of year again, the tournament season for the New York State USBC has begun.
We start with the youth, most regions have started their Youth Team and Pepsi Finals.
The top two teams in each division and high scratch team at the Regional Team Finals are invited to compete in the State Finals on Sunday, May 5 at AMF Strike N Spare in Syracuse.
For Pepsi Scholarship Tournament the top two bowlers in Division U18, U15 and U12 boys and girls are invited to the State Finals on Saturday, April 20 at King Pin Lanes in Rome to compete for scholarships. The top two bowlers in U10 and U8 boys and girls will be awarded a scholarship. This tournament is scratch.

Our next event is the NYS Masters Championship on Saturday, March 2 at Broadway Lanes in Fort Edward. Paul Bajorski from Islip is looking to defend his title in the event. There are two squads in this tournament at 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM which will consist of five games across five pair of lanes. The top 20% from the squad will advance to the match play finals later in the afternoon. Each squad is limited to 60 bowlers.
Our pattern is a custom designed Sport Pattern from Kegel, Length and Oil Volume will be posted no later than a week before the event. The lane graph will not be posted until the tournament is complete.
Match play will consist of two-game single elimination matches until a champion is crowned. First place is projected to be $1000, based on 96 entries. In addition to the prize money the winner will also receive a paid entry into the 2025 USBC Masters, plus $200 towards their expenses. Entry fee is $110.
The Women’s Championships will begin on Saturday, April 6 and run for five weekends ending on May 26. Four person teams, doubles and singles are slated for this event. Women may bowl on a team or in the doubles and singles. The cost is $30 per person Per Event with an optional All-Events for $10. The doubles and singles event run concurrently, there can be no doubles only or singles only entries.
Courtney Radick and Jennifer Shafer will defend their titles in New York State Queens Title on Saturday, April 13 at Town N Country Lanes in Guilderland. This event is the showcase event for the top female bowlers in New York State.
The Queens is separated into two divisions, Open averages 200 and over and Classified averages 199 and below. There are two qualifying squads at 9:30 AM & 1:30 PM. After qualifying is over the top bowlers in each division will advance to the match play finals.
Match play consists of one-game single elimination matches until four bowlers are left. The bowlers are than re-ranked for the stepladder finals. The champion in Open Division will receive a paid entry to the 2025 USBC Queens, plus a $150 stipend towards expense. Entry fee is $100 per bowler, plus an optional $10 fee for bowler 50 years and older for a separate prize fund.

Our final tournament of the Spring will be the Open Championships begins Saturday, April 20 and run four weekends ending on June 9. Five person teams, doubles and singles are slated for this event. Women may bowl on a team or in the doubles and singles. The cost is $45 per person for team and doubles, $40 per person for singles. There is also an optional All-Events for $10. The doubles and singles event run concurrently, there can be no doubles only or singles only entries.
